We stopped at Basilico Pizza in New Jersey on our way to NYC from Virginia--and liked it so much that we made it a point to stop again on the way back! The food was absolutely delicious. We tried the pizza, regular fries, Old Bay fries, and onion rings, and every single item was made fresh and tasted amazing. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. We'll definitely be back the next time we're passing through. The only drawback was the price difference when paying with card versus cash, but it's still worth it for the great food and experience. Highly recommend!

So, I never had a heart shaped pizza before and my sweet boss got us one! I was curious about Basilico's, but hadn't been yet (my new job is super close by). The pizza was so darn good- it just needed a little napkin blot for the oil - I do this for most pizza (always watching my fat intake plus my skin still breaks out at my old f*rt age!). The sauce was very good, and the dough and crust were right up my proverbial alley. Not too thin - just doughy enough. I have a close work pizza joint - woo hoo!!!
Pizza Friday? Yes!!! Here we have another spot across the bridge, it's the "Carnes" with sausage, pepperoni and meatballs plus added roasted red peppers. I was pleasantly surprised, nice thin crust with a very cheesy pull
Got takeout when staying here in a nearby hotel. Very solid pizza and salads. Chicken was a little dry on the salad but huge portions.
We stopped in for lunch this afternoon. The 9year old said the pizza was so good that he would eat the crust. (Cheese pizza) Dad really enjoyed the pepperoni Nd I had the Buffalo chicken. We even had 4 pieces leftover. The 12 year old decided on a burger. He said he would give it a 10/10. I had a few of the fires and they were also good fries. Service was on point. The couple running were beautiful people. Love to support restaurants run by locals. We will definitely stop by again!
